Fullerton, Orange County
Downtown Fullerton grew up beside the Santa Fe railroad after brothers George and Edward Amerige founded the town in 1887. Brick commercial blocks from the early 1900s line Harbor Boulevard, along with the Fox Theatre, a 1925 movie palace under restoration. A few blocks away, Leo Fender built his first electric guitars in a small Fullerton shop in the 1940s.
